Amber Martinez is thrilled to join Richmond Shakespeare as Education Manager. She brings extensive experience in theatre education, community engagement, and arts administration to the role.

Prior to joining Richmond Shakespeare, Amber spent nearly seven years as Arts in Education Manager at Virginia Repertory Theatre, where she oversaw touring programs and partnerships with schools and community organizations. Following her time at Virginia Rep, Amber served as Communications Director at Firehouse Theatre, leading communications strategy, social media and email marketing, and audience engagement. Most recently, she worked as a Voice Over Artist for CoStar.

Amber holds a BFA in Theatre Performance and an MFA in Theatre Pedagogy from VCU. Her work as an artist and educator is rooted in a belief in the power of theatre to connect people. She is passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for people of all ages to experience, engage with, and learn through theatre.

She is excited to join Richmond Shakespeare and contribute to its education programs and mission of connecting the community with Shakespeare and the performing arts.
